PERSONAL ARTWORKS
In my personal artworks, I focus heavily on the ephemeral qualities of life. Light and dark, dreams and nightmares, safe or scared. Themes of duality and fleeting moments have always intrigued me and pushed me to explore them further. Photographic heroes of mine include Sally Mann, Diane Arbus, and Henri Cartier-Bresson.
PHOTOJOURNALISM
I also enjoy taking a photojournalistic approach during outdoor adventures. I attempt to align my processes, aesthetic, and creative techniques while out exploring what nature has to offer. In this realm of my art, I find myself inspired by color theory and minimalism, searching to capture quiet moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
PAINTINGS
My 2D works, painted and drawn, follow a similar trend to my photographic artwork. I find inspiration in nature; the misty morning on a northern Californian beach or fleeting light flowing in among the Red Woods. I enjoy traveling and seeing new sights, and in turn utilize these images in my artworks.
